Credit Reference Agencies
When processing your finance application, we shall conduct a “soft credit search” in order for us to verify your identity and make an initial assessment of your credit profile to determine the most suitable lender for your requirements, this will not impact your credit score.
We may share your data with more than one finance provider, which may result in one or more credit searches being conducted by the finance providers in order for them to conduct credit and identity checks with credit reference agencies they work with, these searches will/ may be a “hard Credit search” which will be visible to any other organisations conduct a credit search against you.
We may also share your personal information with fraud prevention agencies who will use it to prevent fraud and money laundering and to verify your identity. If fraud is detected, you may be refused certain services, finance, or employment.
